Current Books I'm Reading

Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper - A must read for every Christian!
“Oh, how many lives are wasted by people who believe that the Christian life means simply avoiding badness and providing for the family. So there is no adultery, no stealing, no killing, no embezzlement, no fraud - just lots of hard work during the day, and lots of TV and PG-13 videos in the evening (during quality family time), and lots of fun stuff on the weekend - woven around church (mostly). This is life for millions of people. Wasted life. We were created for more, far more.

Chance to Die by Elisabeth Elliot - If you think you’re a good Christian this book will make you realize you have a long way to go. It’s the biography of Amy Carmichael, missionary to Japan, Sri Lanka and Indian in the early 1900’s. I’m still working on this one, but so far, it’s convicted and inspired me to work harder, to press on, to continue drawing closer to the Father so that my life would truly glorify Him.
