My layover in Frankfurt turned out to be 16 hours instead of 12 due to a fuel leak. The fun part of a long layover is the chance to leave the airport and explore the city a bit. I spent several hours in downtown Frankfurt wandering around, enjoying the some of the architecture and people watching.
