On Safari in Chobe National Park

I just returned from an awesome safari in northern Botswana. I went to Chobe National Park with some of the other journeygirls for a few days. We went on two different game drives, both in our own truck (and we only managed to get stuck in the deep sand once! Fortunately, a safari vehicle filled with Japanese tourists stopped to help us. The safari guide got us out of the sand while the tourists took pictures. Everyone clapped when we were freed!). The best sightings were definitely the elephants - we got up close and personal. Maybe too close since a couple of times we thought we were going to be charged! We also saw a family of hyena’s which is a rare sighting.
We went on a boat cruise where we were able to see lots of crocodiles and hippo’s, along with an amazing sunset. The next day we were able to completely cross the river over in Namibia where we visited a traditional village. It was interesting to see some of the differences in life complared to villages in Botswana.
